Alltown Bus Service A Driver is responsible for transporting clients from their pickup point to their destination in a timely and safe manner.
Using a vehicle to successfully transport people, performing pre-trip inspections, performing child checks post-route, and keeping their vehicle within DOT regulations are the most important tasks of the driver.
Job Description Summary Provide safe and dependable transportation for school children on a daily basis.
We provide CDL and permit training if needed.
Duties include but are not limited to:
o Transporting children and other passengers to and from school o Obey all traffic laws o Maintain a clean and mechanically sound bus at all times o Ensure the safety of all students o Perform inspections of the bus before and after each route o Attend safety meetings as required o Have a clean driving record o Must be 21 years or older o Must be able to meet all federal, state or contractual requirements

Transport clients to and from destinations.
Arrive at destinations on schedule.
Fulfill administrative needs, like office pickups.
Research and plan for traffic, construction, and weather delays.
Use navigation applications to determine the best route.
Always interact with clients professionally.
Ensure that the vehicle is always fueled and ready for use.
Arrange for vehicle repairs as needed.
Keep mileage records and repair records up to date.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Alltown Bus Service and DHT Transportation have been providing school transportation and specialized coach and charter services in Detroit and throughout Chicago and the surrounding suburbs for over 27 years.
Alltown operates a fleet of over 600 buses across six locations, three of which are located on Chicago's north, west, and south sides.
